The 7 is read as the number of examination: distance kept on purpose, and a preference for understanding a thing before joining it.

Examining is a way of participating that never has to admit it is participating, and it can be held for years.
How the number is reached
Take 1940-01-01. Summing every digit of the date gives 16 → 7, so the whole-date convention returns 7. Reducing the month, day and year separately first gives 1 + 1 + 5 = 7, so the component convention returns 7 — the same answer.
How often it happens
Across 28,896 birth dates — days 1 to 28 of every month from 1940 to 2025 — life path 7 comes up 3,210 times (11.1%) under the whole-date convention and 3,210 times (11.1%) under the component convention.
Within that sample the two conventions never disagree about this number.
What this does not tell you
Being read as analytical by a symbol system is not evidence of being analytical. This page is arithmetic and tradition, not psychology.
